Workplace, Schools, Early Years And Care Homes

Helen has previously been a member of the accreditation panel for the Greater Manchester Good Work, Good Health Charter and can support businesses to meet the award criteria around healthy eating. She is skilled in developing food policies, is experienced in working with vending companies and caterers to increase healthier options, and has implemented promotional programmes to increase the uptake of healthier options.

For many years Helen was the chair of the Wigan ‘Food in Schools’ group.  This group produced resources for schools; supported these schools in promoting healthy eating at breakfast; encouraged pupils to choose healthy drinks and snacks; and supported the school meal service to meet the national nutritional standards.

Helen led with members of the oral health team, a training programme for governors based on food policy development.
